The Military Police corps Regimental Museum originated at Fort Gordon, Georgia in 1957. In 1975 it was moved to Fort McClellan, Alabama and subsequently reconstructed a third time at Fort Leonard Wood where it opened in September 2000 during the Military Police Regimental Week. The mission of the Military Police corps Regimental Museum is to provide soldiers and civilians alike the opportunity to view the complete history of the United States Army Military Police. Utilizing our heritage, the museum seeks to impart to young soldiers entering the Corps today, a sense of history coupled with a sense of self in the midst of changing roles. Further, as a public institution, the museum serves as an educational vehicle designed to enhance public awareness regarding the historical contributions made by the Military Police Corps and the United States Army.
